Smart Art - Creating our own Masterpieces

This month we learned a lot about Art. We learned about colors and shades. We learned about painting and sculptures. We learned about light and dark. But mostly we learned that WE LOVE ART.

Christmas Craft

Our Preschool Friends enjoyed painting their special frames to give to their parents for Christmas. Our favorite part was we got to use our magic color white. White is magic because when you add it to another color it changes the color shade and disappears. :) We had cups with white paint on the top and blue on the bottom. The kids got to choose to mix them together or just paint un mixed--- most the students started out with the colors un mixed-- of course we got to see them mix along the way. It was a great way to paint a winter scene in shades of blue.







This year our Christmas Theme is snowflakes. We are doing a fun play about snowflakes so I am going to make snowflake costumes. Here is the before-- several yards of white pellon,,,




During is just a mess of white pieces. I will have to show you the after later, in my Christmas Party post :)

Zoo Trip

We had a great time at the zoo. We were able to visit the Grasslands, the Tropics and the desert habitats. Our favorite stop was the new Orangutan House. It was fascinating to watch the little orangutan play.

Halloween- Just another reason to play dress-up

At preschool we love playing dress-up. It is no wonder why Halloween is one of our favorite holidays. Hey not only do we get to play dress-up but people give us candy for it. For preschool kids Halloween is definitely a WIN WIN!

Fire Station Fieldtrip

We love touring the firehouse. The firefighters are wonderful. They share their station and their truck with us. They also teach us how to be safe in case of a fire. We had a lot of fun.

Healthy Craft time
